I held a vigil from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in front of the Federal Courthouse in downtown Richmond, Virginia to publicize Potlatch and the Native American Rights Fund (www.narf.org ).
Responses included a thumbs-up from a driver. A middle-aged woman in a business suit said, "You'll never get that from here. This system sucks." A couple of rednecks country people pulled up in a truck beside me and wanted me to explain my sign, "Justice for Native Americans." I couldn't tell whether they were being ironic or not since I thought the sign was self-explanatory. I referred them to NARF website.
